Our little man

I feel it is time for an extensive Noah update. He is 20 months old already. And here is a little about him and his ever important and amazing life.

In case you hadn't been able to tell, Noah is growing up (somewhat). He isn't a baby anymore, he has become a little boy. He has a mind of his own. He wants to do everything by himself - "No, Daddy" and "No, Mommy" are heard often when we get in his way.

He talks a lot, but you need to speak "Noah" to understand it. Here are his common phrases....
"What happened?"
"Are you?" for "Where are you?"
"James Taylor".  For some reason, he loves James Taylor. And he can pick out his songs. We had the Ipod playing with "Shuffle", and "Something in the Way She Moves" came on, and Noah picked it up from the guitar at the beginning, and said, "James Taylor". Matty is trying to introduce new artists and quickly so that we can listen to something new!
He likes to roar like a "dino" and he likes to yell. With such quiet parents, we are surprised by that.
At school, they told me that he likes to "get involved". Meaning, when a child is getting in trouble, he usually tries to help the teachers by telling the child what to do. Don't know where he gets that one either!
He loves to run, he runs nearly everywhere he goes. "Running," he says.
He loves books, cars, puzzles, animals, and balls. He even liked watching some of "The Empire Strikes Back" with his dad.
He sleeps through the night in his toddler bed, and he climbs in and goes to sleep all by himself. (Sad face from me on this one!)
He uses the potty chair pretty well. We aren't pushing it, just letting him drive it.

He is pretty well behaved, but we have had a problem with socks and shoes. Since summer is winding down, he doesn't understand why he has to wear socks. Here he is expressing his confusion with the new rules!

The Wind-Up

Life is tough

Don't worry, I put on my shoes AND socks as well

The End!

We love you, Noah Wynn! It has been the most amazing 20 months! Matty and I could not be happier or prouder or more amazed or more fulfilled!

What a tremendous description of your beautiful baby that grew into a smart little boy.
Love it that he has such a mind of his own.
It will be fun to watch each year as he grows.

Very sweet! Funny about James Taylor! That is a hoot! Also, secretly love the pics of him getting upset about his shoes and socks. We have fits around here about those darn things too. So weird. But he's still cute even while throwing a tantram! Love you!

Too funny! I can relate to so much of that - you gotta love 2yo boys! GT's latest thing is taking off his pants and diaper at night. Love that. ;)

Okay, I've got things to do but so glad to be introduced to your blog and I'll be catching up! :)
