Hello everyone! We would like to introduce you to Madeline Grace Clothier, the newest addition to the Clothier family. She, unlike her brother, was not in a rush to get into this world, and so she waited for her induction on Monday, 12/5 (Happy birthday, Ashley West!) Matty and I were floored that she did not come early or on her own. So Monday morning, we said good-bye to my mom, Noah, the many workers on the house (that's for another blog post) and went to Lawrence Memorial Hospital to meet her. It was a scheduled C-section, based upon some deep talks and advice from the doctor about Noah's delivery and my long term well being. We got to the hospital and settled into our room. My mom took Noah to school and met us at the hospital. The ironic part was that our heater stopped working in our room, and they had to call maintenance to fix it. As we walked to the OR, he was shooting a laser at our ceiling. I'll skip all the details of the surgery - I vacillated between funny and weepy; Matty was awesome, and it wasn't over fast enough though it was way less complicated than the first time around! The minute she was born, she went to the bathroom - both kinds! They didn't weigh her until after the BMs, so we have joked that she was a couple of ounces bigger! Her official measurements are 8 lbs, 19 3/4 inches and she was born at 12:35 pm.
After we got Madeline and my mom got to meet her, she went to go get Noah. It was really an awesome experience having the two of them meet. Noah was amazing. He wanted to love her and hold her and kiss her. He was super gentle and really big brotherly! All is going well since then! Expect many blog updates to come!

Love the blog. Of course, I shed a tear or two especially when Noah held her. He was so proud to be a brother.
I was so glad to see that Pooh had made it to the hospital as well.
