I know I've been an absent blogger, and you have a right to be concerned, but we've been a little busy - doing everything in the world. Like selling our house and buying a new one. And then roaming all around KC until we could move into our new house and then actually moving in. So our house in Lawrence finally sold and then we went on a Clothier family tour. We stayed two nights with the Gudgells in Lawrence, and then it was officially onto KC for us. We got a sweet gig house-sitting in a super nice house. It was a blast, the Coles came and stayed a couple of nights with us, and we enjoyed an outdoor pool, hot tub, and television set up. It was nice. And then we moved to the Sittigs house for a week. All those who accommodated us were super nice and we appreciate it so much! And then lucky us, during all this time, we found a house that fit us. And we bought it.
The kids have been so excited. We live in a super nice area in Prairie Village, that seems to be half burbs and half city. The house is a fixer upper for sure - it was built in the 60s, and it was P.I.M.P in that decade. But not one thing has been touched since then! The highlights - a built in working blender, cool tile and brick, a circle drive, a kitchen that has been updated and a POOL! The rest needs work, and did I mention that there are mirrors everywhere we look. I've never seen myself from so many angles, and let me tell you, it's not always a good thing to see. There's a built in hand dryer and a jacuzzi tub from the 60s. And a POOL! So we have a lot of work to do on the house. And we're beginning to get started. Matty has been playing phone tag with some contractors and hopefully, we can update the master area. Here are a few pics of the kids enjoying the area by the pool!
