OSU Weekend

This past weekend, the OSU football team came to Lawrence to play the Jayhawks in football. Matty and I, along with our fellow Pokes in town, hosted a semi-college reunion for some of our friends who were able to attend. At our house, we had Travis and Elizabeth with their beautiful and nearly one year old daughter Emery, and Ryan and Melissa braved the unfinished basement! The Coles hosted Rob and his girlfriend, Leah, and Ashley's sorority sister Heidi. The Griffiths had Stacia's parents and sister's family, so we were all quite busy! Friday night was a party at the Clothiers, and Saturday was tailgating and the football game. We took Noah, and he loved it. He stalked the Jayhawk, but when the Jayhawk mascot was close, he was really shy. (Based on the success, ehem, of the KU football team, we had really good seats - and may have even been on TV!) The second half, he tuckered out and fell asleep.  Saturday night, Shelby came to stay with Noah and we all tried to re-create the college days. We had a great time, and were awakened pretty early by two precious kids - Emery and Noah were very happy to see us!

Thanks for coming to visit, friends! Hope to see you again soon - the next time the Pokes come back into town for a win! Or for a visit to your neck of the woods!

Me with four tickets. Funny story behind this that involves me being forgetful, and KU fans being very generous!

The boys - some so proud of the win, they wore their orange and flashed their guns!

Thanks for the pictures, Melissa! Good snapping!
