Oklahoma Christmas

Noah, Matty, and I made a trip down to Oklahoma the weekend before Christmas to celebrate with my family. We had a great time and Noah loved to hang out on the farm. Everyone made the trip except my sister's husband, Jason, whom we missed!

New Traditions
This year, I got Matty, Noah, and me corresponding Christmas pajamas. Matty and Noah had green stripes with red trim and I had red stripes with green trim. I had told Noah that Santa can find him no matter where he is when Noah is wearing his "jammies".
The corresponding part has taken a little convincing of my husband. But being the wonderful father and sport that he is, he obliged me and participated. The pajamas that I got where from Sweden, and the funny thing is that Matty's pants were a little snug. They weren't too tight, just a little snug and therefore inappropriate especially around my family, so he only sported the shirt. The Scandinavian countries must wear their "night things" with a little more intent than the Clothiers have!

Horses and Moos
Remember how Noah's favorite TV show is "The Last American Cowboy", a reality show on Animal Planet that has a lot of, well, horses and cows? Well while in Oklahoma, I overheard my dad talking to my mom about this great cowboy show that had ended its season. It sounded vaguely familiar, and it turns out that my dad and my son have the same favorite show! What a small world.
As by the way, neither watch that much TV - because they are busy, AND because they don't stay awake that long in front of the TV!

Only slight downside to Christmas was I got really sick. I had strep throat for the first time in my life, so Saturday morning, the morning that Santa came, I felt awful. I put my game face on (Thank Coach Sanders for teaching me that) and made it through but, my goodness, strep throat stinks!

More to come... I'm a bit behind on the blog so I have some catching up to do.... Stay tuned, and warm!

Opening a present. Right after this, Noah got slightly scolded from my dad, and you would have thought the world ended (actually for both of them.) I don't think Dad will be scolding him much going forward. Noah really put on the water works!

Naptime!

Loved your post.
I'm so glad you got matching jammies. Santa will always be able to find Noah with the jammies.
Can't believe Noah is 2 yrs. old.
What a joy he has been to all of us.
Matty, sorry your bottoms didn't fit.

Great informational blog! I love the two orange juice pictures. And Grandpa is still upset over the water works!
