As we have transitioned to Noah saying his own prayers, Matty and I have had a super hard time not cracking up at the things he prays for.
First time, I said, "You go, you say it for us...."
With hands together, he said, "Thank you, God, for carrots." There were other things he was thankful for - "Mommies and Daddies and Noahs and bringing me to school" - but I actually laughed out loud at the carrots comment. We weren't eating carrots; I have no idea where that came from. This was followed by, "girls, Pre-I, and Liz" (a teacher at school). The "bringing me to school" is still said nightly and that stems from when I told him, "God is all around and of course, you can take God to school with you."
Second time he ran the prayers....
"Thank you, God, for chairs. And thank you God for carrots." After this, I asked him what he was thankful for that he had in his life, and he came back with, "Thanks, God, for Mommy, Daddy and Noah." Ahh...perfect....
By the way, all prayers now start with a quick thanks for chairs and carrots.

I have been laughing so hard and long, I couldn't even type.
He is hysterical and he always will be.
I'm so thankful for carrots and chairs so he can thank God for then.
What a child.
