Madeline's First Day of School

Madeline's first day of school was Thursday. Everything went really well, much more smoothly than Noah's first day of school.  I sneaked in a workout in before hand and then everyone was up and getting ready. Matty got another teacher to cover his first class, so he was able to go too (he usually has to leave about the time school opens, so he doesn't get to participate in drop off.  We had everything, down to Noah's toothbrush, ready the night before and I learned on Friday that is going to be super important!

Lovely kids

When we got to school, we asked Miss Stephanie to take our picture.

The Clothiers
We dropped Noah off first, but I haven't yet figured out what my routine is going to be (aka which one gets dropped off first!)  He did great, as usual.  We used to have trouble with tears at drop-off but we haven't had trouble with that in probably 4 months (thank goodness!)

Noah's room, that's AJ in the corner!
Then it was Madeline's turn.  It was weird - I had been sad and teary on and off for over a week, but this morning, I didn't have too many tears (yet!)!  With Noah with us, I still had to be a mother and it wasn't about me, it was about my kids, so no time for tears. The Stepping Stones team was ready for us. We loved the infant room when Noah went there, and it is just great again. They sent me two pictures during the day and are just awesome.  And the best thing besides being reunited with Colleen and her awesome staff is that while we were waiting to drop off, Sam Whaley (a girl that I'm sure you will hear about over the years to come) was waiting to get dropped off. I work with her mom and Matty pals around with her dad.  And then Quinn's (you all remember Noah's girlfriend Quinn, right?) little brother was waiting to get dropped off. Also with Madeline on side 1 is Jack's little brother, Parker's little brother, and Cami's little brother, so we know a lot of the families.  All that makes you feel so comfortable! I did cry and have to have Matty give me big hugs in the parking lot, but then I was fine!
Look at her sticking out her tongue!

Her cubbie! (not sure if this is spelled correctly!)

Colleen and Madeline

Her end of day recap!  She did great. Of course this was no surprise to us at the end of the day, I had already called twice!

And look at the pretty flowers that Madeline sent.  How thoughtful is she!

It was hard to keep it together after I got these!
From Ashley and Stacia!  Isn't that super sweet!?
